The basic difference between a Swimming Pond and a Swimming Pool, is that the Swimming Pond is completely natural, using nature's process to purify the water rather than any chemicals. This is the same process found in large lakes only carefuly balanced to work perfectly on a smaller scale.

Swimming ponds were first introduced into the UK by Anglo Aquarium (the sister company of Anglo Swimming Ponds) on July 2nd 2001 at a very sunny press day at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
