A Natural Solution to a Natural Problem:

There are no hard and fast rules to swimming pond constructions but the basic elements remain the same. The cleaning process works on the basis that the Swimming Pond is formed from two zones, a regeneration area and a swimming area.

The regeneration area contains a carefully selected balance of plants which are attractive in summer and winter, they also purify and cleanse the water as it slowly circulates between swimming and regeneration zones.

However it is essential to achieve the perfect balance as it is very easy to create an overgrown pond rather than a beautifully finished product. This is what our expert team of award winning designers and landscapers are all about, and with a correctly finished product there are minimal maintainance considerations and the water remains crystal clear all year round.

Too good to be True:

Not only does a Swimming Pond offer lower maintainance than a Swimming Pool, but it is entirely chemical free. According to EU testing it also does a better job, which was proved by a trans European investigation into the health implications of the Natural Swimming Pond. Their findings were that not only did they exceed all standards for purity and water clarity, but even in large public pond the water was reported to be drinking quality in nearly all tested catagories. We had a comment from one member of the public experiencing our pools that they swam in a Swimming Pond for several hours, when normally even half an hour in a swimming pool caused skin irritation.

The only Rule is there are no Rules:

There is a common misconception that there is a specific design to which you must adhere. Although the balance of materials in all areas of construction must be strictly maintained, it is possible to incorporate almost any design.
